At the invitation of the RCEP Industry Cooperation Committee, from May 25 to June 2, 2024, the China Cycling ( Electric Bike ) Association formed a 14 person delegation led by Vice Chairman and Secretary General Guo Wenyu to visit Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. During the visit, the delegation participated in multiple business opportunity matchmaking meetings, conducted business inspections, deepened regional cooperation, and visited the ASEAN Secretariat to learn about ASEAN related investment policies and other information.
In the "China Thailand Business Opportunities Matchmaking Meetings", "China Indonesia Business Opportunities Matchmaking Meetings", and "China Vietnam Business Opportunities Matchmaking Meetings" held in Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam respectively, the China Cycling Association actively participated in cooperation and exchanges as a supporting unit. In the two B2B business exchange activities in Thailand and Vietnam, we communicated and established contacts with relevant companies and industry representatives from Thailand and Vietnam.
The delegation visited the Lisheng Rayong Industrial Park located in the eastern economic corridor of Thailand. Lin Liyong, Deputy General Manager of the park, gave a detailed introduction to the situation of the park and the preferential policies of the Thai government for investment in the park. This trip further deepened the delegation's understanding of Thailand's investment environment and laid the foundation for future cooperation.
At the docking meeting organized by the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chairman and Secretary General Guo Wenyu introduced the trade situation of China's two wheeled vehicle industry in the ASEAN region, especially in Indonesia, promoting the docking between China and the Indonesian Chinese Chamber of Commerce. The delegation also had in-depth talks with Chen Riling, Chairman of Wanxinda, President of Guangdong Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, and President of Ningde Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia, to explore the opportunities and prospects for economic and trade cooperation between the two sides.
In Vietnam, the delegation held a symposium with the Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle, and E Bike Association (VAMOBA), and the two sides had in-depth exchanges on three aspects: the Vietnamese market, exhibition cooperation, and product standards. At the same time, the delegation also visited the Victoria assembly factory, HTC assembly factory, and Tue mint plastic parts production factory in Vietnam. Entrepreneurs from both China and Vietnam have had in-depth exchanges in investment cooperation, production and manufacturing.
In addition, the delegation also inspected the Yadea Vietnam factory, visited its production workshop, laboratory, and warehouse, and test drove to experience localized products that meet Vietnam's requirements, further understanding the development status and potential of Vietnam's two wheeled vehicle industry.
This visit has achieved fruitful results, not only strengthening the connection between the China Cycling Association and relevant organizations and enterprises in Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, but also laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. The delegation's visit marks an important step for the Chinese bicycle and Electric Bicycle industry in RCEP regional cooperation, opening up new space for the internationalization development of the industry. This visit demonstrates the positive actions of the China Cycling Association in promoting international cooperation. In the future, the association will continue to work hard to further promote industrial cooperation and development between China and RCEP member countries.
